If you have one of the treasured German cameras of the Golden Age and its has suffered the ravages of time as most have then I can help you. Bringing 30 years experience servicing fine cameras and lenses from the most prestigious of manufacturers I can restore you Zeiss Ikon Contax IIa or IIIa to mechanically perform as new.

All work is performed using the finest instrument grade tools and precision measuring and test equipment. All lubricants used are NYE™ Synthetic oils and greases, the finest available and far superior to the originals.
These lubricants will not oxidize or migrate and will literally last a lifetime in this application. All parts used a genuine manufacture's and adjustments and setting are to original specification and in many cases are done to a higher standard.

The offered overhaul is quite comprehensive and in most cases will restore you camera to good mechanical operating condition. A typical overhaul consists of the following:

Complete disassembly
Miscellaneous small parts as necessary are included
Clean, Lube and Adjust all operating assemblies
Clean optics and treat to prevent fungus
Disassemble shutter
- Clean and degrease individual components
- Ultrasonically clean slow speed escapement
- Ultrasonically clean selftimer mechanism
- Lubricate all points
- Clean and adjust sync contact
- Adjust shutter speeds
- Adjust curtain travel times
Calibrate lightmeter (IIIA)
Clean viewfinder
Clean rangefinder
- Adjust horizontal plane
- Adjust vertical plane
Remove deteriorated helicoid grease and relubricate
Reassemble and check all for Good Working Order
Clean and Treat exterior leather covering
Remove Zeiss Bumps if requested

The cost for this service is $99.95 which includes return shipping in the USA....international return shipping add $20.00

The turnaround time is 5 business days after receipt and return shipping within the 48 states is included. International and Alaska, Hawaii shipping is listed below.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This service is quite comprehensive but due to the age of these cameras certain repairs, if necessary may not be included. Please read the following carefully and contact me with any questions.

Lightmeter repair is limited to cleaning and calibration only. The lightmeter must be in basic operating condition. The overhaul will not include a new coil or photocell

Small parts as necessary will be included at no charge, these parts include; screws, springs, shims, washers etc.....

This overhaul is mechanical in nature and while external cleaning is included cosmetic restoration is not.

This overhaul will not cover cameras that have water or liquid damage, damage resulting from impact or similar trauma and cameras that have been tampered or modified.

Optical surfaces will be cleaned and treated to prevent the formation of fungus. I can not recoat or polish optics to remove prior damage or scratches.

Cameras performance will be adjusted to original manufacture's specifications or better
